Dive into the History of Ait Ben Haddou & Ouarzazate

Begin your day with an 8:00 AM pickup from your Marrakech hotel by your driver-guide. Embark on a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying the breathtaking views from the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, dotted with traditional Berber villages and rugged terrain.

Arrive at the renowned Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou by late morning. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its stunning earthen clay architecture and its appearances in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. A local guide will walk you through the ksar, sharing its historical and cultural significance.

Continue on to Ouarzazate, famously dubbed the “Hollywood of Africa.” As you pass through the city, spot the Atlas Film Studios and the majestic Taourirt Kasbah.

Your journey then proceeds through the Rose Valley and the town of Kelaat Mgouna, celebrated for its roses and local cosmetic products. If you’re traveling in spring, the blooming fields offer a spectacular view.

After breakfast, journey through the picturesque Berber villages of the Dades Valley.

Next, arrive at the stunning Todra Gorges, where you’ll have time to enjoy a walk through the towering 300-meter-high canyons.

After lunch, set out for the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. On arrival, take a 1.5-hour camel ride at sunset to your desert camp oasis.

Spend the night in a traditional bivouac among the dunes, either inside nomadic tents or beneath the starlit sky.

Enjoy a traditional dinner with your overnight stay in the Merzouga Sahara desert camp.

Journey to the Ancient City of Fes

Wake up early to witness what may be the most beautiful sunrise of your life over the Erg Chebbi dunes.

After watching the sunrise, return to the camp for breakfast and then enjoy a peaceful camel trek back to Merzouga village.

Once back in Merzouga, your driver will take you on the next leg of your journey to Fes.

Explore the Capital City of Rabat

Set off for Rabat, Morocco’s capital city located along the Atlantic coast. This elegant city is filled with historical treasures.

Start with a visit to Chellah, a walled necropolis with Roman and Islamic ruins. Then head to Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a masterpiece of traditional Moroccan architecture. You’ll also explore the charming Oudaya Kasbah.

In the late afternoon, continue your journey to Casablanca.
