Day 01: Welcome to Tangier!

Welcome to Morocco! Your adventure begins upon arrival at Tangier Port (or Tangier Airport), where your friendly driver/guide will be waiting to greet you with a sign bearing the name of our agency, Tiziritravel. You will be transferred to your hotel in Tangier for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Tangier & Chefchaouen Sightseeing

After breakfast, your guide will take you on a tour of Tangier, the vibrant northern city of Morocco. The highlights of your visit will include:

After lunch, continue your journey to the Blue City, Chefchaouen, where you’ll spend the afternoon exploring its charming whitewashed streets and blue-painted walls. Start your day with a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains toward Volubilis, an ancient Roman city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its well-preserved ruins.
Next, head to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you can visit the impressive Bab Mansour gate, the Mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl, and the Heri es-Souani food storage complex.
After a tour of Meknes, continue your journey towards Fes, one of the oldest cities in Morocco.

Day 05: Fes to Sahara Desert
Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Sahara Desert of Merzouga
Depart from Fes after breakfast and head toward the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you’ll pass through Ifrane, a picturesque mountain town often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at Cedar Forest to observe the famous Barbary apes.
After lunch in Midelt, the journey continues through the Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, offering panoramic views as you approach the desert.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll be greeted with a refreshing glass of mint tea. Then, embark on a camel trek to a traditional Berber camp nestled in the dunes of the Sahara, where you’ll spend the night under the stars.

Day 06: Todra Gorges and Dades Valley

Today, you will wake up early to witness what might be the best sunrise of your life. You will venture out onto the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert at Erg Chebbi to admire a breathtaking sunrise. Afterward, you will return to the camp for breakfast. Then, enjoy a tranquil camel trek back to the village of Merzouga. As you ride, you will appreciate the mesmerizing beauty of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which change with the light throughout the day.
Once you arrive in Merzouga, you will meet your driver again to continue the journey to Dades. You may stop in Rissani to visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Chref, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty, and then continue to Arfoud to visit a fossilized marble factory before heading to Todra Valley for lunch. After lunch, take a peaceful 30-minute walk to explore the Todra Gorges and enjoy the palm groves and the Jewish Quarter. Todra Gorges is the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco, and the Todra River has carved vertical walls of immense beauty. It is a climber’s paradise and a unique destination.
In the evening, continue your journey through Dades Valley, where you will see majestic sand castles and stunning rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Your overnight accommodation will be in a charming guest house overlooking the Dades Valley.

Day 07: Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah
Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, begin your journey through the Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate, then proceed to Marrakech. The route through the Dades Valley is famously known as the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs,” offering numerous opportunities to capture some of your best photographic memories of the trip. Stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, the heart of the Rose Valley, where you have the option to visit a rose cooperative and purchase rosewater, which will keep your linens smelling wonderful long after your trip.
Continue your journey to Marrakech, making a stop at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 19th century, the Kasbah is a historical home to many Glaoui families. Continue your journey through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) in the High Atlas Mountains, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the production of Argan oil—exclusive to Morocco—through the cooperative of Berber women, before arriving in Marrakech for your overnight stay.

Day 08: Marrakech City Tour
